As anyone knows who has been reading this blog, I have been virtually obsessed with passing on praise of JACK for the last several months. The concert last night at the Morgan Library in New York City was a big deal, hyped by cultural arbiters like the New York Times and The New Yorker. At the left is a copy of the program, posted an hour or two after the program by an anonymous blogger. The first review/report was posted last night here. The author said the auditorium was nearly filled, mostly by young people, but also by traditional concert goers. He/she says this is where classical music should be.

Hey ! This is all such GREAT news. And congratulations are well deserved.
I can't imagine what cost has gone into this success: personal, emotional, sacrificial and without a doubt, financial.
Becky
Yes much congrats!! and my word verification verifies it with... blesses. :D
Thanks, Anonymous Becky and rdl. Becky, you're right, there has been a huge cost, in every way you mention, and it's still unbelievable to me that it's paying off in such a big way. I always knew Chris was good, but I also knew that I was biased, so it's still hard for me to believe that his group is getting all these accolades from all over the world, and I can't stop bragging about it to anyone who will listen. Eventually, I suppose it will be old news and I will calm down. But they're just getting started. Wait until you see what's in store for 2011.
